SAN FRANCISCO, Jan. 26, 2012 /PRNewswire-iReach/ — Solid Line Products, LLC today announced the RightShift® 2, the newest version of the company’s popular keyboard case for the iPad 2. Featuring a removable keyboard, the RightShift 2 keyboard case for the iPad 2 was designed for those who want the convenience of a keyboard but only when they need it. The new iPad case will be featured at the MacWorld Show this weekend along with other iPad and iPhone accessories.

Like its original, integrated counterpart, the RightShift 2’s keyboard features a right shift key to enable true touch typing. But the similarities end there. The RightShift 2’s keyboard has hard, plastic keys for the more familiar tactile feel demanded by touch typists. The thin case is made with polyurethane with a rubberized finish. The case is also available in six colors: black, gray, lime green, neon orange, hot pink, and bright blue.

«The original RightShift with the integrated silicone keyboard will continue to appeal to those who use their iPads in the workplace, but we think this ‘take it or leave it’ design will appeal to younger users who’ll want to have the keyboard when they need it and leave it behind the rest of the time,» says Henry Lo, CEO and founder of Solid Line Products.

The Company will also be showcasing its line of art cases for the iPad and iPad 2. Featuring the art of select contemporary, living artists, art cases are made with vinyl created from recycled materials. Through exclusive relationships, the cases feature the work of New York photographers, Barbara Alper and Richard Berenholtz, San Francisco artist Ray Beldner, and San Francisco muralist Brian Barneclo. The artwork is printed onto the iPad cases using environmentally friendly inks.

«It’s like giving your iPad a hardback cover,» says Lo, noting that the cases are about as thick as a hardback book cover. «In the coming months, we’ll be featuring the images of other widely respected, living artists whose works are in museum and/or corporate collections.»

Priced at only $49, Lo expects that a percentage of consumers will want to own multiple art cases, to match their mood on any given day or to use as fashion accessories.

Solid Line Products is headquartered in San Francisco. The company’s products are sold at leading online and brick & mortar retailers nationwide.
